"Job finding is like finding a girlfriend."
...Ok...maybe to some of you out there, finding your other half is as easy peasy as trying to find sand to build a sandcastle with in a desert. But for the most of us...it's hard. And basically...job hunting is hard. Someone then posted his company's situation...
I just hired 3 marketing execs. We advertised on a Sat and received 35 applications via e-mail by Mon morning. By Wed, A total of 67 applications - 90% U grads - were received. About 30% of them were FTs (defined as PRC students) willing to start for as low as S$1.5k. SG fresh U grads asking for S$1.8-2.5k. Yet SG U grads with 2-3 yrs experience asking S$2.3k. Who will you hire ?
And with my friend's observation on the IT field...
You need to upgrade to newer certifications when new products get released. You are forever paying to upgrade yourself in the IT field to stay employed.
Work = earn salary
Pay $ = upgrade certs + get more new certs (infinite loop)
Overall = earn sai.
Sighh...sounds bad huh. No choice man...not within my control. Guess I can only continue to trust in His faithful leading and providence. It really does take alot to trust huh...

First on the menu was my mum's sphagetti! Tasted great...despite her first time preparing I think.
Then at night, my dad packetted some bee hoon with crab. Woot! Shiok man :D
Sigh...really thankful to Him for such gracious providences along the way.
