Headed to the Mac-Cafe at east coast. Have been there a couple of times...pretty good environment. Brought to memory the night I had a talk with my bro there...sigh...I missed that..
Anyway, ordered some snacks to go along with my book reading.

- waiting on the Lord
- cultivating rest in the face of crisis
- dealing with fear-filled emotions
- experiencing God's promise of peace
- guarding against the 3 enemies of those who wait -
impatience, disappointment and discontentment
Munched, drank and read till 6+, den decided to take a walk at the beach. How I missed the beach.
It used to be my favourite haunt. I could spend hours there. Taking in the sight of the big open sea & sky, smelling the saltish air, listening to the pushing force of the wave which somehow brought calmness within me. But the thing that got me back again and again and brought the greatest joy...was Him. Each time I was there...everything around me seemed to become His mouthpiece. The swaying palm trees, the pushing waves, the people around, the vast sea, the ships and boats, the sand...and even floating bottles among the sea...He used them all to talk to me. Small and insignificant they seem, yet a great and deep lesson they hold when used by Him. No I'm not saying the beach is a special place or anything. Rather I believe it was the attitude, the desire to want to hear from Him so much that I was willing to take the trouble to get away and be alone..it was that attitude that drew me close...which along the way...seems to have subsided.
Partly due to the inconvinience within the army. But mostly was the things that came along the way...loneliness, hurt, pain and rejection...things that were supposed to draw me closer in relating and reliance upon Him, I chose to run away instead.
So..I am thankful for today. Even though my heart is not as accustomed as before in listening to You...don't give up on me. Let me find rest and gratitude even in the quietness...to be still, and know You....are You.
Some pics I took. =)

Ahh...my preferred type of shots next. I like to go down to the finer detail of things, shooting from a lower, closer perspective. Tends to bring out the beautiful minute details we tend to overlook and miss out. =) Couldn't do macro shots due to camera quality though...

as I was on my way home, came upon this tentage with some musicians.
