After service yesterday, went to catch the movie 'Eight Below' with some of the youths. It didn't really get my attention in the first place to watch it...but hmmm...it sounded interesting enough though..and of course...the main attraction for me? It had dogs in it!!
And this show only fed to my desire to have a pet dog...so cute, so loyal and faithful a companion...
The movie didn't really had much of a storyline...surprised me that it was able to stretch for 2 hours..but it did a pretty good job of connecting you with the dogs..with the introduction of their individual names and characteristics..it really pulled you in to feel for them as they go through the various intense situations in the movie.
Really feels nice seeing the connection the dogs have with the lead character of the movie and each other...makes you go awwww man. You can just ache in your heart together with the main character as he desperately goes about seeking to get to his dogs.
The 8 canines really charmed me with their natural acting. Overall...was a nice one! =)
Spent some time shopping with Yanquan as he went around getting stuff for his army side. Mmmm...can really see his anxiousness and stress. But really...nothing much within your control bro... just have to go through it in His strength as you go through this moulding and learning process. I look forward to the end result fruit that you will bear in Him. =)
Met up with my poly friends at bugis after the movie in the evening. Finally...a time to catchup with them. Went around looking for an eating place...and finally settled with this....
It was run by china peeps. pretty cool place. A bit squeezy and crowded though...probably with the holiday and weekend period. Quite a good variety of steamboat soup and food there, free flow of lemon/peach tea....only gripe was....no ice cream or dessert or whatever. Price was roughly $19 per head.
After the heavy meal, we wanted to head over to City Hall for some drinks and talk. But along the way...I mentioned I've never been to the National Library yet. Heh...they too wanted a look...so we stopped over there along the way.
Came to the entrance and saw....
Bummer huh?! Oh well...started exploring around...interesting place man. Shld go again one of these days...
Finally...just sat at Han's restaurant and chatted all the way. Crappy talk, serious talk...it was a great time. Glad that even in the midst of moving on in our own path...we keep the contact.
Long day.
Great time.
Thank You...especially for the thoughts earlier today.
Thoughts...for tomorrow to pen. =)
Good night.
