After youth session yesterday, went out for lunch with the youths. Had a big lunch, from a gracious and kind treat from Yanquan at Swensen's. Woah...I really think it takes quite a giving attitude to be able to do that. So Yanquan...kudos and a big thanks =)

The sky was blue, the grass was green...err yeah...you get the picture =D
After lunch, had to rush back to church for the basketball match. Argghhh....missed the ice cream!! Didn't really wanna go for it man...cos had to leave the peeps and was kinda tired. But oh well. Heh..rushed back and (brisk) walked in the rain with daniel from the mrt station back to church...so romantic lahh. =D
Mann...the basketball game was a killerrrrr! Can't remember when was the last time I had such an intense game. Those peeps from the chinese congregation..mann...they're inhuman!! They run, jump, shoot like free for all siahh...feel like little kid to them leh. But cool lah...challenging mah...wahh but they have loud supporters man...I feel like outsider playing on home ground..pressure man.
How are you supposed to feel when you know you can never win in a match no matter what? Brings a new meaning to giving your best huh? Why give your best when you'll never win?
I guess it's when you respect the involved activity, the opposition team, your own team, and yourself.
Respect.
Here I am! I stand at the door and knock.
If anyone hears my voice and opens the door,
I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.
If anyone hears my voice and opens the door,
I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.
Revelation 3:20
The verse just speaks "Respect" to me. Even though it is an allegory, the intent is conveyed. To have a great God being the one "knocking", giving us the freewill to make the choice. True to a gentlemen, He waits and doesn't push His way through despite knowing what's best. And with our choice, He honours and respect the decision we made.
We give respect easily to those who are able and impressive. But to those who are lower and unworthy of it?
It just blows my mind. =)
Lord,
