Nothing more than just a stationary picture of people, places and colours, photographs have this unexplainable ability of bringing you places...places that you've once been.
I was just going through some army photographs in my com today. As I looked at them...memories came flooding back....moments of pain, joy, suffering, loneliness, good company came flooding back. It reminded me of the times and people that I have had the honour of sharing, and most of all, the things He had brought me through...
..care to take a look?
The time in Artillery....memorable indeed...but, once is enough though =)
Before I closed the pictures, a folder named "Pastor David's Ordination" kinda caught my eye for some reason. I clicked it and took a look. It was the day that I went down to St Andrew's Cathedral for his ordination and some other photos. Really good memories...
But as I looked at the people in the photos....I felt a tinge of sadness....for I've kinda "lost" quite a number of them, the closer ones...in one way or another of varying degrees. Either the feeling of distancing or connections lost, or things just don't feel the same anymore as they used to...almost just like a faded past in my life...
Sighhh....memories abound...yet at times I.....just can't find any words to say about them. What can I say? Let the pictures do the talking I guess. But as much as pictures show, they still can't fully and sufficiently tell the whole story...often, only the good and happy side and things that we want to remember are seen.
But what's untold are the regrets, pities and pain between imperfect people along the way without which unfortunately, the picture is incomplete.
So what's the path ahead of us? Is it big enough for us all to journey on together?
Only He knows I guess.
