Blame it on my busy schedule, or my procrastination along the way. I managed to miss the original deadline for the canon's 'young photographer' competition.
Imagine the delight when I found out that the deadline had been extended, which gives me just the time needed to consolidate the photos. A pity though, for the lack of proper time to take the photos. Due to my schedule, it has basically been rushing out to catch whatever evening shots I could get after getting changed from work. (I figured that it would seem pretty weird to have someone in formal work clothes snapping away..)
As I discovered...the reservoir ain't just for running dude. (not that I've been doing much of that)
Really a pretty good place to get some good settings for shots. And I couldn't have been more thankful, to have manage to spot a grandma with her grandson taking a walk. The boy had this shy, boy-ish charm, I just had to approach the grandma and asked her for permission to take photos of the boy. (I did consider snapping secretly away from a distance, but decided not to, for the sake of close-up qualities.....not to mention, the risk of being mistaken as a peodophile)
I don't suppose these photos will do anything for me in the competition, and I certainly could have done better with the action shots which seem to lack the 'oomph'. But nonetheless, an enjoyable experience indeed. Can't wait for more.
Here's some of the shots, enjoy. =)
