Wonder when all the switching between the com and desktop will stop....

Met up with my army mates over last week. Couldn't really remember the last time I saw them....so it was a really good to see each other again.

We decided to cruise out on one of the guy's van for some drinks after dinner. Man....we basically went nuts in the van while on the road, due to the blurness of our driver friend. Maybe you'd just see a van wobbling with laughing guys on the road if you saw us.
The original plan to go to this outdoor 'pub-y' kind of place didn't work out...the place was all full up when we finally arrived. It's a pre-holiday evening afterall. No matter, we popped over to this prata shop near my ex-work place instead, and basically yakked the night off till 2a.m plus.
Even after army...it's still those past experiences together that binds us.
Sweet.

Hoh, also had another catch up session in the same week. This time, with my poly mates.
Was supposed to join them at the IT Sair, but family had last minute arrangements to look at our upcoming new house, so only joined them later. Goodness, my phone had to be out of batt at that moment, and I couldn't even locate them.
And the crowd at the IT Show didn't really help......
..nuff' said.
I was basically roaming around (as much as I could find space to move), hope to catch a glimpse of my friends. I never felt happier being tall at that moment.
As things would have it, my friends actually caught glimpse of me in the crowd and shouted out my name. Thank God...cause they were actually just leaving! Imagine if they didn't wait and turn around to see me...they would have missed me...and I would have been doomed to spend the rest of my eternity roaming the halls restlessly. Or at least until the IT Show ended or something.
Linus brought us over to this cool little place called Pitstop Cafe.

It was a neat little shop, serving various drinks and food. But the main draw of the place was.....
..boardgames. Loads of it.
Now that's what I call a library. According to my friend, alot of the games were actually imported in, and can't be found locally. Monopoly? Nahh...that's so boring. Really a unique collection of cool fun games they have.
Honestly, I've never really thought much about cafes offering boardgames. But somehow, this has changed my opinion. It's really fun to have your groupies really get into a particular game and laugh your socks off. A cool place to hang out with your friends with I'd say.
The living-room like style of the place helped I guess. Though it got reaaally noisy with all the groups of peeps around you laughing and playing away.
If you had noticed in the shots, the walls there were all covered with photographs and doodlings. They actually take pics of the visiting customers and doll up the place with 'em, letting you write messages and all. Really adds to the atmosphere, and it really makes for some nifty wallpaper.
